Continuous Duty:
The Audiolab CDS-4516 Professional Degausser is designed to operate continuously, 24 hours per day, for formats such as VHS,
audiotapes and diskettes. A simple two pass operation of VHS pancakes is all that is needed to completely erase
all previous recordings.
Optional Slave Degausser:
Audiolab has designed the CDS- 4516 to grow as your degaussing demands increase. With the optional 4516S (S=slave),
the CDS-4516 can be converted into a single pass degausser. The slave unit is actually another degausser that adds
another set of degaussing coils to the degaussing process. The final result is a set of coils that are 90 degrees
to each other, eliminating the need for a second pass at 90 degrees.
Field Strength:
The CDS-4516 has two field strengths, high and low. The high field setting is designed for use on metal particle
tape formats, such as Beta SP, D2-D5, and data tapes such as 3590 data cartridges. The low field setting allows
for continuous duty degaussing of diskettes, audio cassettes, VHS cassettes and pancakes.
